THE OLD FLAME OF CAGLIARI VS. PARMA: ANDREA PISANU

Born in Cagliari, Pisanu spent his youth career with his boyhood club, making his debut for Cagliari’s First Team in September 1998 against Juventus at the tender age of 16.

He was sent out on loan to Siena in 1999, making 14 appearances there before moving to Hellas Verona (26 appearances and two goals) and then Varese (15 appearances and one goal).

Pisanu arrived at Parma in 2004. He remained with the Crociati Club until 2010, making 105 appearances and scoring eleven goals, three of which came in the UEFA Cup.

He then moved to Bologna and Prato (36 appearances, 13 goals), a brief spell in the MLS with Montreal Impact coming in between. Pisanu retired from his playing days in the 2014/15 season, which he spent with Sliema Wanderers in Malta.
