SAMPDORIA vs. PARMA, THE OLD FLAME: AIMO DIANA

Parma, 7 December 2019 – Aimo Diana is our how flame ahead of Sampdoria vs. Parma with the Crociati taking to the pitch for the 18:00 CET kick-off on Sunday.

He came through at Brescia, making his professional debut in the 1997/98 Serie A season. He spent three seasons with Rondinelle. Making 110 appearances and scoring four goals in addition to a season at Hellas Verona where he played 27 times and scored one goal.

It was in 2001/2 when Diana joined Parma. Overall, he played 35 matches for the Crociati and won the Coppa Italia. He remained at Parma for the first half of the following season before joining Reggina.

Diana was then a Sampdoria player between 2003 and 2006. For the Blucerchiati, he played 106 times and scored 18 goals. After that, he spent two years at Palermo (47 matches, 2 goals), two with Torino (64 matches, 3 goals) before spells at Bellinzona, Lumezzane and Trento.

Aimo Diana also earned 13 senior caps for Italy and three for the Italy Under-21 team.
