PARMA vs. LECCE, THE OLD FLAME: JORGE BOLAÑO

Parma, 11 January 2020 – Jorge Bolaño is our Old Flame before Parma and Lecce meet on Monday 13th January for the 20:45 CET kick-off at the Stadio Tardini.

The Colombian midfielder came through at Atletico Junior where he made his senior debut and played 155 times before moving to Italy in 1999. It was Parma who brought him to Serie A and he remained at the club until 2002, winning the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia before moving to Sampdoria on loan.

He never got to make his debut for the Blucerchiati due to a serious injury which kept him out for an entire season. He spent the following year between Emilia and Salento, starting at Parma before heading to Lecce on loan where he was able to play more consistently in the second half of the 2003/4 season as he made 16 appearances.

He then returned to play for the Crociati, making 48 appearances up until 2007 to take his total up to 128. His career then continued with 54 appearances at Modena before returning home to Colombia and Cucuta Deportivo.

In international football, Jorge played 36 for his country and scored one goal.
