There have been 33 previous meetings between Parma and Bologna in Serie A: the Crociati have won nine of those fixtures and suffered ten defeats. There have been 14 draws. Parma and Bologna have played out four draws in their last five encounters in Serie A. The other result was a 4-1 Rossoblù win in May 2019. In four of the last five meetings between the two teams in Serie A, both have found the net. The only exception was the 0-0 stalemate in December 2018.

Both Dejan Kulusevski and Simone Iacoponi scored in the fixture between the sides earlier on in the season (2-2, November 2019). This was the Italian defender’s first goal in Serie A. Andreas Cornelius found the net in the only home match he’s played against Bologna in Serie A: this came for Atalanta in October 2017 and secured a 1-0 victory for the Orobici.
