TRAINING REPORT FROM FRIDAY 17 JANUARY – COACH D’AVERSA TO SPEAK TO THE PRESS TOMORROW FROM 14:00 CET

Collecchio, 17 January 2020  – Parma Calcio returned to training today at Collecchio, completing a morning session. Under instruction from Coach D’Aversa, those who took to the pitch against Roma yesterday did recovery work. The rest of the group focused on core stability and strength before taking part in a practice match on a reduced section of the pitch. The session came to an end with aerobic work.

Mattia Sprocati trained with his teammates. Gervinho’s left thigh was checked over, with the Ivorian having suffered discomfort recently during activities carried out at high intensity.  A fibrotic area was identified in the muscle and there’s the risk that the injury could reoccur, meaning he will follow a rehabilitation programme over the next week and won’t be available for Sunday evening’s match. Alberto Grassi trained separately due to pain in his lower back, while Yann Karamoh also worked on his own.

Tomorrow, on Saturday 18 January, a morning session starting at 11:00 CET is in store for the Crociati, who will train behind closed doors. From 14:00 CET, Coach Roberto D’Aversa will hold his pre-match press conference at the Collecchio Training Centre.
