ROBERTO INGLESE AFTER PARMA 2-2 BOLOGNA: “I’M PLEASED TO HAVE MADE MY RETURN IN THIS MANNER, LET’S PUT THIS DIFFICULT PERIOD BEHIND US”

Parma, 12 July 2020  – In an interview with Sky Sport, Parma attacker Roberto Inglese had the following to say following Parma’s last-gasp draw with Bologna this evening. The Crociati no.9 was back on the scoresheet for the first time in 286 days: “It’s been the most difficult period of my career, if not my life. These past six months have been long, but now there’s been a happy end. I’m pleased to have come back in this manner and to have made a contribution to the team. My teammates are happy, we’ve got a close bond. It hasn’t been easy, but I haven’t given up and deserve this. We were going to wait for me to have my last consultation in Finland. However, I spoke with the Coach and we agreed that it was the right time for me and it was pointless waiting any longer. We came into this came on the back of a difficult period, it’s not easy playing every three days. We came up against a strong side who had us where they wanted us, but now we’ve put this difficult period behind us and will try to build from here. I’m pleased to be back, we’ll see what we’re able to do from now on. When we’ve got a full squad available, we’re a very good side.”
