THE OLD FLAME OF PARMA VS. NAPOLI: CRISTIANO LUCARELLI
Parma, 21 July 2020 – Cristiano Lucarelli is the Old Flame of Parma vs. Napoli, scheduled for Wednesday 22 July at 19:30 CEST at the Stadio Tardini.
After making his debut with amateur side Cuoiopelli, Lucarelli signed for Perugia in 1993, where he made his professional debut in Serie C and won promotion to Serie B. In 1995 Cristiano moved to Cosenza, making 32 appearances and scoring 15 times.
His next stop was Padova, where he played 34 matches and scored 14, before making his Serie A debut with Atalanta, going on to score five goals in 26 games in his first year in the top flight. In 1998-99 Claudio Ranieri signed him at Valencia, where he made 12 appearances, scoring once and winning the Copa Del Rey.
He then spent two seasons at Lecce (59 appearances, 27 goals), two at Torino (56 appearances, ten goals), and four at Livorno (146 appearances, 92 goals). In 2007/08 he moved abroad once more, this time to Shakhtar Donetsk, before returning to Italy to play for Parma. Lucarelli spent two seasons in Parma, making 45 appearances and netting 16 times.
As a Coach, Lucarelli started out with the Crociatini, before pursuing a long coaching career at Perugia, Viareggio, Pistoiese, Tuttocuoio, Messina, Catania (two separate spells) and Livorno.
