Parma, 5 December 2019 – Luca Siligardi looked back on the match after opening the scoring in the Coppa Italia fixture agianst Frosinone at the Tardini.

“I scored an important goal, both in terms of our qualification and for me personally. The Coach gave me this chance, I wanted to take the opportunity and put in a good performance. I’m very happy at having scored. This goal gives me confidence and I’ll take this small moment of happiness and hold onto it. Laurini was on his flank, I moved to get the ball at the edge of the area. I took one touch to move it and picked out the far corner with the second. I’m happy that Parma are going through in the Coppa Italia and that I made my contribution.  My future? You’ll have to ask the Club, the Sporting Director and President above all. To be left out of the squad was a bolt from the blue. I look to show what I can do when I get the chance and during training when I always look to be professional. It was hard not being able to help on Sundays after training daily with teammates. It’s the worst thing that can happen when you’re part of a group. When The Coach said I would play tonight, I was happy and excited, ready to help the team. I thank the Coach who has allowed me to train with the team every day. I dedicated the goal today to my wife and son who know what I’m going through. They’re supporting me at this time. Thanks to them, I’m calm away from the pitch. I still have two-and-a-half years left on my Parma contract. I want to play like I showed today. I don’t want to be a forgotten player who’s not on the squad list. We’ll see what happens. My hope is to get back on the list. We’ll see what happens in January.”
