Milan, 15 September 2018 – You never forget your first Serie A goal. It was a special afternoon for Federico Dimarco who won the match away to Inter with a stunning strike.

It’s an indescribable feeling, said the number three. “I’m not coming to terms with what I did. I got in front of Politano, the ball feel to me at the edge of the area and I decided to hit it. Then, I saw it go in and celebrated like crazy. It felt like watching a replay to me, the ball wasn’t reaching the net. I’m happy, it’s a very important win because we hadn’t won yet this season. It’s a win that gives us energy. We’re working a lot on our defending. We’ve been doing so since pre-season and it’s very important for the coach. You can see the result from what happened here in Milan, we played a great game and brought home the three points by doing well in defence and attack.

“In my opinion, a coach who tells you to settle for a draw doesn’t make the team confidence,” he added. “Ours told us the right things, it was right to believe we could win because he believes in us and was right in the end. We’ll enjoy these points for the next two days and then go back to work on Monday thinking about Cagliari and the other games. You never forget the first goal in Serie A. I’m enjoying the moment but I can’t too much because the highs and lows come quickly. I’m available for the coach, I think I played well apart from the goal and the result was thanks to the team.”
