BRUNO ALVES AFTER BOLOGNA 4-1 PARMA: “I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY, NOW WE HAVE TO LOOK AHEAD WITH POSITIVITY”
Bologna, 13 May 2019 – “I don’t think we played well, in games like this it’s not about playing well but reaching the best possible objective – three points. After conceding in the second half, it became more difficult to manage the situation.” This is what Parma captain Bruno Alves had to say following the Crociati’s defeat to Bologna. He continued: “I didn’t react in the way I should have done, but I don’t like it when a player stays on the floor and pretends to be injured. I know that my reaction wasn’t good, I take full responsibility. I’m not passing judgement on the referee, who did his best. I take responsibility for what happened.
“We work hard every week. The players are still the same. In football, there are positive moments and negative ones. At this time, it’s important that we look at ourselves and give our all with our upcoming matches in mind. I think that the team are working in the same way as at the start, our fans have always supported us and I think they’ll continue to do so. It’s true that our destiny is still in our own hands, we’ve picked up 38 points thanks to the help and support of everybody: the team, the Coach, the staff and the fans. We need to continue to work hard. I believe, and this is born out of my experience, that you need to continue to go forward in football. We need to work hard and be positive, we can’t look back. From tomorrow, we’ll think about our upcoming fixtures.”
