ATALANTA VS. PARMA, THE OLD FLAME: DAMIANO ZENONI
Parma, 4 January 2020 – Damiano Zenoni is the Old Flame of Atalanta vs. Parma, the Crociati’s first match of 2020 which will be played in Bergamo on 6 January.
Zenoni rose up through the youth teams at Atalanta and broke into the First Team halfway through the nineties. Just like many others his age, he was then sent out on loan to gain experience. He first played for Pistoiese where he made 26 appearances, then moved on to Alzano, making 32 appearances and scoring one goal before his return to Atalanta.
He stayed there from 1998 to 2005, recording 209 appearances and scoring eight goals before signing for Udinese. He remained with the Bianconeri club for two years, playing 68 games and even making it into the Champions League with the Friuliani.
It wasn’t until 2007 that Zenoni arrived at Parma. He played for the Crociati from 2007 to 2010, seeing the side promoted to Serie A as he made 89 appearances and scored one goal.
Zenoni’s career drew to a close with Piacenza and subsequently Grumellese in the fifth tier of Italian football.
